Dzi Beads

The dZi beads (pronounced zee) are one of the more peculiar things in Tibet. dZi means “shine, brightness, clearness, splendor”, and the bead is called “Heaven’s Bead” in Chinese. The bead has eye shaped patterns and other lines as decorations. The number of eyes determine the value and meaning of the dZi beads. The nine-eye dZi beads are believed to be the holiest and has tremendous power.
